It has been a great week of learning and inquiry! On Tuesday we began our new science unit by investigating different rocks and minerals. Wednesday, we weighed and measured the amount of trash in our hallway and discussed how this data applies to our STEAM Challenge. Thursday, we had our counseling lesson with Mrs. Grindstaff where we learned some tips for Conflict Resolution. Finally, on Friday we visited Mrs. Bates in the LLC where we learned how to look up books on our very own lexile levels.
The week after break we will begin our Division unit. Please scroll down for an example of the 4 ways we will be learning to divide. I hope you all have a restful and safe fall break!! Thank you so much for your support with getting your child to school on time. IOWA Testing will take place next week. We will be testing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Testing will begin first thing in the morning so, please try and get your child to school no later than 7:30 on these days. I will not be assigning any math homework for the week however, we will be launching our Multiplication unit. Students are welcome to use Moby Max for multiplication practice if they would like but again, this is not required. Please scroll down for an example of the 4 multiplication strategies we will be learning next week.
